Okay so I know how "WeaponTypes", "ArmorType", "ShieldMitigation", "ShieldStrength", and "HullPonits" effect how much damage a ship receives during battle. What I don't know, is how the game calculates the Armor Points into that equation. For example; we have two Kodiak Heavy Cruisers, both are identical in every way and stat, except for one. One Kodiak has 4 Armor points while the other has 20 Armor points. What is the equation that the game uses to determine that the Kodiak with 20 Armor points, is receiving less damage than the one with only 4 Armor points?
